The House of Silence, which is run by the Association for the Promotion of Interreligious Dialogue at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, is a place for mindfullness and meditation.
It is open to all members of the university and offers a space for personal reflection or prayer, regardless of religious affiliation.
Opened in 2010, the House of Silence is accessible on weekdays from 09:00 to 18:00, with the possibility for group activities outside these times. The space was created in response to the needs of different faiths and contains no religious symbols. It offers a tranquil environment with simple furnishings such as stools and kneeling benches, as well as practical facilities such as prayer mats and foot wash basins for Islamic prayer.
